We’ve put together this little corner of the internet for everything you might need for the weekend—from getting to the mountain to where to stay, what to wear, and what to do while you’re here. The Wedding
We’ll be getting married at Chäserrugg, above the valley in the Canton of St. Gallen. It’s a place we’re incredibly excited to share with all of you. The celebration will begin in the afternoon on August 20, 2027. More details on the day itself will follow.
We’re still putting together our recommendations for where to stay, including options close to the wedding as well as possibilities for those who would like to spend some time in Zürich before or after.
Schedule
The wedding will begin in the afternoon on Friday, August 20, with the celebration continuing into the evening. Weather permitting, we’ll have our ceremony outdoors on the Rosenboden, directly at the summit of Chäserrugg, before continuing the celebration in the Summit Building. Everything will take place at Chäserrugg, so there will be no travel between the ceremony and reception.
We’ll also have a casual brunch the following day for anyone who would like to join us. It’s completely optional—come have breakfast with us, sleep in, go hiking, or continue your Swiss adventures. We’ll be happy either way.
A more detailed schedule will be shared closer to the weekend.
Travel & Stay
Getting Up the Mountain
For guests staying in our recommended or blocked hotels, we will provide optional transportation from the hotel area to the Chäserrugg valley station in Unterwasser.
Upon arrival, a welcome drink will be waiting for you at the valley station before you make your way up the mountain.Transportation to and from the summit is included as part of the wedding, so there is no need to purchase a separate lift ticket.
Getting to Unterwasser
On the day of the wedding, we will provide an optional shuttle from the Zürich area to Unterwasser for guests who would like to use it. You’re also welcome to make your own way there by car or public transportation. The shuttle will depart from a designated pickup location at a scheduled time, with exact details shared closer to the wedding.
By Car
If you prefer to make your own way there, you can rent a car and drive to Unterwasser, Chäserrugg Bahn. From Zürich or Zürich Airport, take the A1 toward St. Gallen, exit at Wil, continue toward Wattwil, and then follow Main Road 16 through Nesslau to Unterwasser. Paid parking is available directly at the Chäserrugg valley station.

By Taxi
A taxi or private car service from Zürich to Unterwasser is also possible, although given the distance, we recommend arranging this in advance rather than relying on an on-demand taxi.
By Public Transportation
And if you're feeling a little adventurous, Switzerland's public transportation will get you there too.
From Zürich or Zürich Airport, take the train toward Rapperswil, change for Wattwil, and continue by train and/or PostAuto to Unterwasser, Chäserrugg Bahn. The exact connection varies by departure time, so we recommend checking the SBB timetable for your travel date rather than relying on a fixed itinerary. Chäserrugg officially recommends this public-transit route as well.

Where to Stay
As the celebration will continue late into the evening, we recommend staying in the Unterwasser / Wildhaus area on the night of the wedding rather than returning to Zürich.
We're currently arranging our hotel blocks and will share our recommended accommodations, booking information, and transportation details soon.
Dress Code
Formal Attire · Black Tie Optional
We’d love for everyone to dress up with us. Our dress code is formal attire, with black tie welcome but not required.
Weather permitting, the outdoor ceremony on the Rosenboden will require a short walk from the Summit Building. As the ceremony is set within the natural mountain landscape, we recommend comfortable, stable footwear. Flats, block heels, or other shoes suitable for walking on natural terrain are best; you’re also welcome to bring a second pair for the reception.
Chäserrugg sits at 2,262 meters (7,421 feet) above sea level, and temperatures at the summit can be considerably cooler than in the valley, even in August. We recommend bringing a jacket, wrap, or warm layer, particularly for later in the evening.
Most importantly, wear something you feel wonderful in—and ready to spend an evening on top of a mountain.
